The World Library Foundation strictly prohibits use of your individual subscription for other than personal use and shall under no circumstances be used in connection with any educational, professional, corporation or governmental institution.
Access to the holdings of the World Library Foundation and all of our branches, is open to the general public for personal use. To register for your eLibrary Card, fill out the information below. With your eLibrary Card, $8.95 annual dues, (substantially less for large groups), members will receive unlimited access to our library's complete holdings. There are NO other costs or fees to members. The payment of a nominal annual dues is needed to defray operating expense, in strict compliance with US IRC Rev. Rule 67-109, 1967-1 C.B.136.
Our mission is to encourage access to literacy and further assist in providing information and knowledge worldwide.
As part of our commitment to literacy, there is never a charge for physically disabled members, special needs members, or disaster relief / emergency services. World Library Foundation is a IRC 501(c)(4) Organizations, organized not for profit, but operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare. Our mission is to serve and aid the public, students, and educators, by providing the world's most complete collection of electronic books, documents, and articles online, as well as offer a variety of services and resources that support and strengthen the instructional programs of education, elementary through post-baccalaureate studies.

Publicly-accessible eBooks, texts, and images
While many of these items are made publicly-accessible in our library, they are not all public domain -- the majority of the images and publications are copyrighted to the digital distributor, originating publisher, or World Library Foundation. For example, and a number of other texts are still copyrighted to their original print publishers and made available here with permission. These publishers have put thousands of hours of work -- and tens of thousands of dollars into the digital development of these intellectual properties, and we hope the results are useful to a broad audience.
In the Public Access and Open Access Section the works in those collections are those of numerous publishers and consortia. Because of contractual obligations with the publishers and consortia members who supply the publications and images, access to their mirrored holdings is restricted to their Usage Terms and Conditions (often found in the header of the file). We do not own the rights to these collections -- we merely license their use for our World Library Foundation members. We ask all members to honor the Rights of the publishers while visiting the World Library Foundation.
